Finding hope and restoration through Christ.

A 30-year battle with epilepsy that I thought had stolen what I had planned for my life, God has turned the page and given me back things I thought I had lost through this gift of poetry.

Carolyn Staffieri

Carolyn is a wife, mother, and grandmother living in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

She and her husband are high school sweethearts and were married while she was in nursing school in the early ‘90s. She spent most of her nursing career working in neonatal intensive care. Carolyn’s journey with epilepsy began during her first pregnancy at age 22 and continues to be part of her journey to this day.

Prior to the epilepsy diagnosis, Carolyn was active in music and creative arts but after her diagnosis, she lost the ability to use these gifts. But God unfurled His grace and gave her the gift of poetry. She had never written prior to this and after losing her musical gifts, poetry became her creative outlet.

Her husband John has been by her side through the good and the bad seasons. They have two adult children and three grandchildren who live locally and enjoy spending time together.

Carolyn and John have always loved traveling around the country, visiting National Parks and family who live throughout the country. Spending time on the beach with their kids and grandkids is one of their favorite summertime activities. Carolyn has a Cavapoo named Ava who sits beside her while she writes. She can also be found walking the dog around the neighborhood alongside her mom, Penny, who is also her neighbor.
